“Why do writers write? Because it isn’t there” — Thomas Berger
Notice the date? Yep. Good news all — I’m still alive! And from what I can tell, the rest of the world is, too.
It’s the summer holidays down here in Australia, and I now have plenty of free time to waste. And going into year eleven next year, I doubt I’ll have much time to blog then. So I figured that the holidays would be a good time to start. I don’t know if anyone is actually going to be reading this, but I thought I’d try anyway.
If you’re too lazy to click on the “About Me” tab above, then I’ll reiterate some of that here for you. I’m fifteen years old, just finished year ten, and have been a semi-serious writer since I was twelve. Also, I live in Australia. And no, I don’t ride a kangaroo to school and have a pet emu. Though that would be pretty cool. Altogether, I’ve written around five novels — most of them first drafts — and am currently rewriting one of them for the third time. I’ve found that rewriting is hard, but also kind of fun when you get into the swing of things. I also like chocolate. Lots of it.
That’s pretty much it for now, I think. See you next time I decide to blog. (:
