Hi, guys! This is the end of another week . . . let’s see what’s happened.
First off let’s talk about the wonderfulness that is Game of Thrones. I usually find that adaptations are boring, or never live up to the expectations that I have for them . . . but I am pleased to say that Game of Thrones does. Wonderfully acted and written, and for someone whose read almost all of the books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, I think it’s fantastic. Okay — so maybe I nit-pick every small thing that’s changed from the books to the show, but (so far, still watching the last two episodes of the first season) it’s fairly loyal to the books, which I love love love. I get this ridiculous grin on my face when I hear a line of dialogue that I’ve remembered from the novels. I am hoping that the rest of the series is as good as the episodes which I’ve watched so far.
So what else have I been doing this week? Let’s have a look.
Monday — A book review of A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin
Wednesday — Why I Write YA
Thursday — Thursday Quotables: Golden by Jessi Kirby
Friday — #IREADYA — YA Book Recommendations
What’s happening in my writing life? Honestly, like the last few weeks, I’ve been sooo stressed out with school and assginments I’ve put my writing on the backbench (which I hate hate hate doing) and it doesn’t help, either, that all I want to do is watch Game of Thrones. I’ve still managed to edit a bit of City of Illusions, though, which is good. What are my aims for the next week? Finish the second draft of City of Illusions. I think that’s do-able.
That’s all for today! What has your week been like?
