Sunday Weekly Wrap Up (17) & Stacking the Shelves (7)

SWW

Wow, I’ve been blogging almost every day for seventeen weeks. Where on earth does all the time go?? It’s Sunday again — and the start of a brand new week. So what’s happened this week?

… To be honest, not all that much. School, editing The Empire of Stars, and reading. That pretty much suns up the whole week! The HSC trials are drawing closer (the end of July), and school is gradually coming to a close. Also: I’ve made a really, really crazy writing goal for the rest of this month! I am determined to finish the second draft of The Empire of Stars before July. I’d like to start Camp NaNoWriMo with The Empire of Stars completed. If not, however, I will set it aside to to the July session of NaNoWriMo, which is super, super exciting! (I will also blog about this in the next couple of weeks.) Let me know in the comments if you’re doing Camp NaNoWriMo in July!

Stacking the shelves —

Surprisingly, I’ve made a pretty good dent in the last batch of books I got. And because, you know, I have a problem, here are some more books.

DSC_0353City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare: So, I actually can’t even remember what happened in the last book because of the gap between them . . . and well, I was too lazy to re-read the whole series. I also don’t want to be spoiled for it! I borrowed this one from the library.DSC_0354

These are books that  have bought this week.

Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige: I was so excited to see this in Dymocks! I’ve heard so many good thing about this one, and I love retellings, so I am expecting good things from this on.

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski: Isn’t that cover gorgeous? I love it. Though I’ve heard quite mixed reviews of this one, I think it looks great.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell: I’m yet to read Fangirl, and this is another one of her books I’ve heard good things about. It’s also possibly being adapted into a movie.

These are the books I’ve been sent an e-ARC from Netgalley. Thank you, Netgalley!

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas: OH MY GOD I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK I CAN’T EVEN OH MY GOD I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THAT THIS ONE WAS ACCEPTED. I CAN’T EVEN CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT RIGHT NOW.

Falling into Place by Amy Zhang: Another one that I’ve really, really, really been wanting to read — so when I saw this was open for reviews for Australians . . . Naturally I jumped on the chance. I am excited to see what this one has to offer. Update: I wrote this post a couple of days ago so I could schedule it ahead of time — and I’ve already devoured this one! Loved it. I can’t wait until it’s released in a paperback format.

  1. OMG FALLING INTO PLACE IS AVAILABLE FOR AUSSIES NOW?? *runs wildly to Goodreads* I need that book so so badly. Congrats on your awesome haul and … woah. City of Heavenly Fire is huge. I really loved Eleanor & Park. TWC is good, but I had some issues with it. Cover is fabulous, right, though?!!

    • It was really great! I highly recommend it. :)

CoHF is really really massive . . . I know it’s going to take me some time to read, but I’ll get through it eventually!

I’m so excited to read Rainbow Rowell’s novels — I constantly hear good things about them. :)
