Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Favourite TV Shows

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. You can find all the awesome details of the meme right here. If you run a blog, I highly suggest you join it — it’s great fun!

I love love love watching TV shows, so I was pretty dang excited for this week’s list. If you have any TV show recommendations, please let me know below! I’m always on the lookout for something new and exciting to watch. (These are in no particular order. Do not make me choose favourites!)

1. Lost. This is one of my favourite shows of all time. I just love everything about it so so much.

2. Game of Thrones. As a massive fan of the book series, I knew I just had to give this show a go despite the many controversial things I’ve heard of it. I’m glad I did — it’s amazing.

3. Sherlock. Anything I write here will never live up to the show itself, so I ain’t gonna try. All I’ll say is this: WATCH IT.

4. Doctor Who. This one I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy — at all — but after I watched the first two or so episodes, I binge-watched the rest of the seasons. (I started from the later series with the 9th (?) doctor, so not the old old ones.)

5. Modern Family. Usually not a fan of comedies — but this show is hilarious. I love it.

6. Orange is the New Black. Again, something I didn’t think I would like at all, but it’s brilliant. (Only on season 1; no spoilers, please!)

7. Teen Wolf. Despite the god-awful title, cheesy dialogue, and more often than not B-grade acting, I love this one. I still have to catch up on most of season 4, but it’s so entertaining.

8. Supernatural. Sam. Dean. Cas. Do I really need to say anything more here?!

9. Once Upon a Time. I am a big fan of fairytales — so I love this one! Okay, so some of the acting may not be Game of Thrones standard, obviously, but it’s really enjoyable. (It also helps that there are a lot of Lost actors in this one…)

10. Homeland. Another one I didn’t think I would like at all — but this show is (was?) great. Not sure how I’m going to like season 4, though…

  1. Sherlock yes <3 I watched Doctor Who for a while. I got up to the middle of the 11th and gave up though. I just wasn't that interested anymore. Once Upon a Time is great but for some reason I stopped watching that as well. Have you seen Once Upon a Time in Wonderland? I've been meaning to start it for ages…

Oh, I love Modern Family as well! :)

  2. SUPERNATURAAAAAAL!!! *flails for eternity* I am in too deep in that fandom. I have crossed from fan to obsessed. RIP my feels. I NEED SEASON 10 BEFORE I EXPLODE. *breathing in, breathing out* So while I wait, I started watching Sherlock. I’m basically finished S2. It’s very difficult to function with only 3 episodes per season. What is this?! I’m a little bit disappointed, because I thought they’d be solving MORE mysteries? But otherwise it’s brilliant. Sherlock. Ah.
    My TTT!

  3. I’ve got Sherlock, Doctor Who and OITNB on my list too but maybe don’t read my paragraph on Orange is The New Black as it has some details of Season 2- nothing too much but if you want to stay spoiler free it’s possibly best to skip that one! Great list!

  4. The only movie/TV show I’ve seen here is Doctor Who. I love that show because it blends the perfect amount of suspense, mystery, adventure, cool technology and creatures and amazing sleuthing skills. The only problem is that the actors talk way too fast, and since I’m not accustomed to hearing British people talk, it can be hard to understand every word they say.

    • I’ve never actually noticed the way British people speak! I’m Australian, so perhaps our speaking speed is similar? Not sure, really! If you’re ever looking for a good TV show to watch, though, I would recommend those above. ^^

  5. OUAT made my list too! Awww, love the “Skin Deep” episode :) I haven’t watched Sherlock but everyone raves about it so much, perhaps I should give it a try…
