Sunday Weekly Wrap Up (25)

Sunday weekly wrap up

Welcome to this gloomy, rainy Sunday. In other words, the weather I love best! Though admittedly, I am kind of looking forward to spring and summer, rainy, cold days are the perfect times to snuggle up with your blankets, read a good book, and drink hot chocolate. What’s happened this week?

I’m waiting anxiously for my HSC Trial examination results to be returned — honestly, I’m not too worried about doing crappy, but I just hate the waiting part. I’ll be okay once I know my results. Due to my mild writing-hiatus (which was briefly discussed in Saturday’s post, if you’re interested), I’ve managed to read quite a few books. Shadows, The Evolution of Mara Dyer, Accession, A Breath of Frost, and Day 21. Nice to finally see I’m putting a dent in that massive library pile, yes? Also, check back in the coming weeks for reviews for some of these!

Also? No Stacking the Shelves post this week! I feel the need to commend myself on not borrowing or buying a book recently. Really. It was so, so tempting. (I did reserve Silver Shadows at my library… but I’m totally not counting that!)

Let’s take a quick look at what’s gone on in the blog this week!

Monday — Book Review: Every Word by Ellie Marney [4/5 stars]

Tuesday — Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I’m Not Sure I Want To Read

Wednesday — Beautiful People Linkup #3

Thursday — Book Review: Accession by Terah Edun [1.5/5 stars]

Friday — Friday Rambles: Friday Rambles: Guess What? I’m a Photographer! Well… An Amateur One, Anyway.

Saturday — Reader/Writer Confessions: Sometimes I Don’t Write Every Day

That’s all for this week! I’d love it if you could link me to your weekly posts and/or Stacking the Shelves posts below!

  1. Congratulations on not buying anything, I’m trying to keep my buying to a minimum at the moment because I’d like to put a dint in my to-read pile. I really loved Shadows and can’t wait to hear you thoughts on it.
Good luck with your trial results.

  2. How do you like cold and rainy days? They make me feel too gloomy to do anything. I like cold, snowy days much better because they make me feel bright and cheerful and ready to curl up with a book. Waiting for results from a major exam is the worst. I’m waiting for the results of a test that I took in early May, and it is not fun. Book borrowing bans are also the worst, especially if you have to go to the library during your book borrowing ban.
