Wow. I think that gif sums up my entire life. But, uh, anyway, here’s Sunday’s post! As it’s the 31st here — the last day of August — this is also going to wrap up everything that’s happened this month, too. Seriously, though, where has August gone?? I swear when I woke up yesterday it was only the 1st. Bring on a summery September, I say! (It’ll be spring here, in Australia, in case you’re confused.)
This is the meme where you can highlight books you’ve bought/borrowed/gifted/received for review. You can read more on the meme and how to get involved here!
I got some pretty awesome books in the mail this week, which was super super exciting. Usually — as you might have noticed — I post my Stacking the Shelves on Fridays, but considering I don’t have too many books to share with you all this week, today is an exception.
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch:
I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW EXCITED I AM TO READ THIS BOOK. Oh my gosh, just look at that cover! If that’s not enough to make you want to read it . . . I don’t know what is! I was thrilled when I won this on a Twitter Re-tweeting competition. IT’S JUST SO PRETTY.
Eren by Simon P. Clark:
Another gorgeous cover. I read and reviewed this novel on Netgalley earlier this year, and the publisher kindly sent me out a copy, in all its hardback gloriousness. THE PICTURES INSIDE LOOK EVEN BETTER PRINTED THAN ON A SCREEN. Seriously, I loved this book. So original and dark. Keep an eye out on my blog during September — I’m part of the upcoming Eren blog tour. (Also? There will be a giveaway. Open internationally, as it will be shipped from the publisher. GET EXCITED, PEOPLE.)
To finish off this post, let’s look at what’s happened this week . . .
Monday — Book Review: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart [3/5 stars]
Thursday — Book Review: Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini [3.5/5 stars]
