Sunday Weekly Wrap Up (34)

Sunday weekly wrap up

Unfortunately, tomorrow, it is. Let’s see what happened this week:

  • I completed three of six HSC exams. I AM HALFWAY THERE! Next exam is Senior Science, on Thursday.
  • I am completely and utterly behind on replying to comments, so I’m really sorry about that — I read and love them all; however with everything going on, it’s going to take me more time to reply. Please don’t hate me!!
  • This week has been fairly ordinary (save for nerve-racking exams…) for me, and there is no Stacking the Shelves post this week. Be proud of my fantastic restraint!
  • I’ve written… nothing. I know, shame on me. I just haven’t had the time I need to write. But once exams are done, I’ll be doing ALL THE WRITING. (Or so I have planned.)
  • In other writing news, I had my first short story idea. YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY. Kara, self-proclaimed short-story hater, has had her first — voluntary — idea. I’ll blog about that more in the coming weeks.
  • The weather has been completely ridiculous lately. It’s actually been snowing in the mountains. Get your crap together, weather! Of course it’s not quite as cold where I live, but I’m still shivering a little as I’m writing this.
  • I reached 50 followers on Bloglovin‘. WOOP! Small steps, guys, small steps.

What happened on Diary of a Teen Writer this week:

Monday — Book Review: She’s Not Invisible by Marcus Sedgwick (3/5 stars)

Tuesday — Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Places Books/Shows/Movies Have Made Me Want to Visit (Because I’m such a rebel I included movies and shows)

Wednesday — Worldbuilding: Part Three (Society & Culture)

Thursday — Book Review: Fire by Kristin Cashore

Friday — Friday Photography (3)

Saturday — My Rating System

I’ll be busy studying for Senior Science/Law Studies/Food Tech next week, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be blogging! Until then, my bloggerlings!

  1. THE MONDAY GIFS ARE BAAAACK :D also, congrats on finish half your exams and reaching 50 Bloglovin’ followers! That’s awesome! I’m also amazed you’ve blogged every day this week. Now THAT is an accomplishment. OOooooh a short story idea, that sounds like fun. Short stories are so hard though, lol.

I scheduled things waaay in advance, so that’s pretty much the only reason I’ve been able to keep up with my blog this week. ;)

You’re right — short stories ARE hard. Freakishly hard. I think that maybe it’s going to turn into more of an novella than anything. :P

  2. AAAAH I’m SO JEALOUS THAT YOU’VE DONE THREE EXAMS! Is that weird? LOL I just want to do more and get it over and done with. I’ve sat two but still have 5!!!! WHEN WILL IT END?!

Snowing?! It was hailing where I am and I thought that was extreme! Congrats on 50 and GOOD LUCK FOR SCIENCE! x

  3. Congrats on the 50 bloglovin followers, woohoo! That’s a great first milestone to have! Sounds like you’ve been busy studying and plugging away with the exams, good luck for them lovely. Study hard and you’ll have more time to comment and read later :)

  4. Congratulations on completing three exams! You’re almost done :) Good luck with your Senior Science exam. And good luck with your short story. I find them almost harder to write than a novel. I would have to say 50% of my short story ideas end up being novel ideas, well at least they did when I first started writing them. I’m getting slightly better now.
And yay! 50 bloglovin followers is awesome, I don’t think I’ve even reached that yet.

    • I definitely feel like short stories are much harder to write, too. I don’t even have a very good reason as to why — I think maybe I usually feel limited as to what I can include, as I’m working within a smaller wordcount — whereas novels are slightly more lenient.
