Sunday Weekly Wrap Up (35) & Stacking the Shelves (18)

Sunday weekly wrap up

Pretty damn accurate if you ask me…

Here’s what’s happened this week!

  • I ONLY HAVE TWO MORE HSC EXAMS LEFT. YES. YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY.
  • Stacking the Shelves! I went to the library during note-taking — I didn’t  mean to borrow so many books. Promise.
  • I, um, took a picture of my current TBR pile. I should point out that this pile only includes my library books… so this isn’t including all the un-read bought books I have. I HAVE A PROBLEM.  (Yes some of these were on my StS post last week, hence why not all of these books are on my list today.)

  • I’ve actually had some time to write this week. Huzzaah! So mainly I’ve been working on The Empire of Stars, and I just finished chapter three. Chapter four, here I come…
  • My bookcase will be arriving next week! EXCITING. (There shall be pictures.)

The Book of Days by K.A. Barker

Oooh, the pretty! So excited for this one… I’ve heard good things about it!

Let’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid

Have heard mixed things about this one… buuuut I really want to give it a chance. I love road-trip sort of stories.

Spark by Rachael Craw

OH MY GOSH I FINALLY HAVE A COPY OF THIS BOOK. I’ve been wanting to read this one for soo long! I was stoked when I saw it in the library.

The Knife of Never Letting Go

Patrick Ness?! HELL YEAH.

Forgive me, Lennard Peacock

So I actually have no idea what this book’s about. But I’ve heard good things from the author, so that’s a positive start.

Mila 2.0: Renegade

The covers are so gorgeous! The first one was rather “meh” but I hope this one is better.

Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood

I’ve been wanting to read this one for ages! I hadn’t been able to find a copy in a store, so was thrilled when I found this.

Code Name Verity / Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein

Because apparently I like to inflict emotional pain on myself.

Dreamer’s Pool by Juliet Marillier

This one looks great!

The Girl Who… by Catherynne M. Valente

(Both the second and third book. And yes, I was WAY to lazy to type those titles out ahaha.)

Icons by Margaret Stohl

(You can’t exactly see this one in the pic; it’s been covered up by too many books….)

Fractured by Teri Terry

About time I catch up on sequels!

The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R Carey

Thanks to Cait @ Notebook Sisters, I just had to borrow this one!!!

  1. I can’t believe you’re STILL blogging every day even with your HSC!! Now that is some awesome scheduling. But seriously, yes, you have a problem :P TBR intervention, let’s go. HA. Like I can talk. I saw on GOodreads that you were reading Afterworlds, so I really hope you like that. Same with the 2nd and 3rd Fairyland books. AND I REALLY WANT TO READ FORGIVE ME, LEONARD PEACOCK BUT I CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE.

    • Scheduling is a life-saver — that’s for sure! Don’t think I’d be blogging every day without it… Oh gosh. My TBR pile is looking horrendous, I think I need help. I hope Leonard Peacock is good — it’ll be the first Matthew Quick I’ve read. :)

  2. TWO MORE?! YOU CAN DO IT! (I have threeeeeee and I’m super excited :D) I’ve been meaning to read Born Wicked as well but just haven’t had the time. Just in time for Halloween though! Have fun tackling those exams and hopefully your week turns out well! <33

  3. Woo hoo! Two more exams and you’re free! You’ve got some great books here – I can’t wait to see what you think of Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock, I had that one out of the library earlier this month, and I read 50ish pages, and enjoyed it, but then I had to take it back, unfortunately. I hope you have a wonderful week, Kara. :)

  4. Only two more? HOORAY! That must be a HUGE relief. I think the Victorian students are just starting theirs, don’t quote me on that though. Have you got anything planned? Uniform burning? Ripping up text books? Or treat yourself to more books? Although that’s a pretty big stack you have there. Wow, your library has an incredible selection, how long do you have to get through them all? I cannot WAIT to see your bookcase! Storage and I have a long love affair. Thanks for sharing Kara and have a fabulous week. Good luck with those exams <3

  5. Only 2 left! Your’e so close now. And wow that is a massive stack of books! There are some great titles in there. A lot of them are on my to-read list, though Afterworlds and Dreamer’s Pool are high on my list. Good luck reading them all and good luck with your last two exams.

  6. That is a very BIG pile of books to read O.O (and hurrah, your exams are nearly over!! exam season sucks >.<). I'm currently on a self-imposed library ban…I've already got 20+ books to read…and I want to do some rereading before the year's over too! Damn expectations…

  7. YAY I’M SO GLAD YOU BORROWED THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS. I’m preeetty sure you’ll like it. XD I just…omg, I loved that book. (I know, I know…I fangirl over these things too much. XD) But seriously, Kara, you have a lot of books on that pile. XD I thought I was bad because I have 21 on my stack. Gah. 21!! But only 6 of mine are library books and only 2 are ARCs I haven’t read, so I feel like I’m managing it very well. hehe. NaNo is going to send me behind for sure though.
OH MY GOSH ADFJSKLAFD CODE NAME VERIT IS AMAZING BUT ROSE UNDER FIRE MIGHT BE MY FAVOURITE. They’re both 5-stars for me though.
Also that Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday gif? Perfection. Absolute perfection.
