Top Ten . . . Thursday? Top Ten Books I Wish I Had the Time to Want To Reread

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. You can find all the awesome details of the meme right here. If you run a blog, I highly suggest you join it — it’s great fun!

OKAY. SO IT’S NOT TUESDAY. IT’S THURSDAY. SUE ME. (Been busy with NaNo . . . which I finished last night.) So I don’t so nearly enough rereading, mainly because I just don’t have the time. But, here are my top ten reads that — if I had the time — I would love to sit down and read again. There are just too many awesome books out there!

721931. Harry Potter by JK Rowling.

Who doesn’t want to reread these books! They have a very special place in my heart, and so I’ll always remember my childhood when I’m reading these. And besides, I don’t think it’s possible to get sick of these — I still listen to the audiobooks every day almost, though I would love to actually reread them too.

2. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.11870085

I actually bought a copy of this recently and I do plan on reading it again. I’ll be fully prepared with tissues this time, though, unlike my first read of it.

11358513. Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce.

Again — another fantasy series that has a special place in my heart. I love these books to bit.

4. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.13519398

Well. If you know me then you know I am a massive fan of this series. Enough said.

83068575. Divergent by Veronica Roth.

Confession: I didn’t really like the first two books in the series when I read them, Maybe if I reread them I’ll like them better? Maybe.

281876. Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.

Honestly, as I’m now much older since the first time that I’ve read them, I’m not sure I would enjoy them as much as I did the first time around — however, they are definitely on my “to reread” list.

418657. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.

8. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.11788809

There is just SO MUCH to these novels that I’m sure I’ve missed the smaller details the first time around. Something I definitely would love to reread if/when I have the time.

1134369. Eragon by Christopher Paolini.

BECAUSE DRAGONS. And you know what? I haven’t actually finished this series! I definitely NEED to reread the first few books before I read the last ones.

10. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer.444309

Good ol’ Artemis Fowl. As the series went by I found myself not liking the series as much . . . but yeah, these would be a fantastic reread, I think.

So here is my . . . very late list this week. What do you think? Have we got any in common? Let me know!

  1. Yes! Twilight! Why not!?
It didn’t make it onto my list, but I often want to read it again, because people so often are like “I used to like Twilight, but that was when I was young and stupid”, and I’m just like, “Well, I liked Twilight, but it wasn’t because I was young and stupid”.
But it has been a while since I read them (I was 14), so I’m curious to see if my opinion has changed.
And Harry Potter. Always good to reread Harry Potter.
And Throne of Glass. And Divergent. And Percy Jackson! They all made my list too. (Except Throne of Glass, but I think that’s because I read it really recently).
And I need to reread Eragon so that I can read the rest of the series.

  2. These are SUCH awesome choices. You haven’t finished ERagon, though??? YOu need to get onto that. I really loved the last one (I loved all of them, actually).

CONGRATULATIONS ON FINISHING NANOWRIMO ALREADY THOUGH, HOLY CRAP. You beat Cait :P you can never let her forget it.

  3. I’M SO IMPRESSED WITH YOUR SPEED WRITING. AMAZING. You make my post-hsc life look like a joke LOL (Like seriously, i’m just sitting around eating from my bag of cheese) CONGRATS ON FINISHING IT!

Everyday I dream of the day where I will finally have time for a reread of Harry Potter. It’s my goal now. I will get there!!

  4. It’s better late then never eh? :)
I agree with like your whole list except Throne of Glass WHICH I WILL READ SOON!
Hehe sorry for the yelling, I got excited.

  5. Harry Potter is one of my favourite series to reread! I love going back to Hogwarts. I reread Twilight a few years ago and found that while I enjoyed it once, I found going back to it I picked up more of my issues with Bella and Edward and the whole story. Experience and age gives a new perception! I’m planning on rereading Eragon very soon! I keep putting it off but I definitely plan on getting around to it this summer :)
