Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Characters You Wish Would Get Their Own Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. You can find all the awesome details of the meme right here. If you run a blog, I highly suggest you join it — it’s great fun!

OKAY. SO PRETTY MUCH ALL OF THESE ARE HARRY POTTER-RELATED. I CAN’T HELP IT. Clearly there should be more books about other HP characters. Also a couple of ASoIF characters.

1. Peeves — Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.

I always LOVED Peeves. Seriously. I’d read a whole book about him.

2. Jill — Vampire Academy/Bloodlines by Richelle Mead.

Am I the only one who feels like she needs a book?! I think that could work very well — I’ve never truly “connected” to her character and have always thought that it would be awesome to have her the centre of a book.

3. Gilderoy Lockhart — Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.

This bloke it awesome. That is all.

4. Hot Pie — A Game of Thrones by George R.R Martin.

Just because.

5. Neville Longbottom Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.

Confession: I’ve always loved Neville, so I think he so deserves his own book.

6. Bronn — A Game of Thrones by George R.R Martin.

Okay, so I’ll admit: here’s a very minor characters in the books, and was portrayed so much better in the show than the books — buuuuuut, in saying that, I would still read a book about him.

7. Draco Malfoy — Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.

I’ll be so disappointed if Draco is not on, like, every list this week.

8. Luna Lovegood — Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.

Weird, daydreamy, and believes that unbelievable, a book entirely about Luna would. Be. Awesome.

That’s this week’s TTT. What’s on your list? Have we got any in common?

  1. HAHA. I was making my list and there were an AWFUL lot of Harry Potter, so I just stuck with a few. I should have just gone ahead and done them all!! Draco’s not on my list, though, lol. BUT YES PEEVES. That would be the best book ever!!!

Love the banner, by the way :D

  2. Luna Lovegood is really going strongly in these lists, I voted for her as well. Peeves would be very interesting, as would any of the other old ghosts. Perhaps an entire novel about the original four founders of the Hogwarts?
I did my own list over on my blog – it’s hard trying to choose character some times!

  3. The Wizarding World has a lot of interesting characters, all of whom I’d love to get books of their own. My top ones would be the Marauders and Fred and George Weasley!

    Great list :)

  4. Peeves, a book on Peeves would be delightful. And Lockhart! I love all the Harry Potter picks on your list. I was tempted to make a list with only Harry Potter characters, there are just so many good ones. :)

  5. I restrained myself and only chose one (well, technically, two) HP characters. I’d love to read books from any of the HP characters you chose here.

And your GoT GIF made me think that I’d love a book from Tyrion’s POV…but I haven’t read the books yet, so I don’t know if one is necessary or not.

Great list this week, Kara! :)

    • There’s not a whole book in Tyrion’s PoV, but he does have his fair share of chapters. (That’s the only reason I didn’t put him on the list, because I wasn’t sure he counted.) But a whole book of Tyrion about him would be freakin’ awesome. :)
