Sunday Weekly Up (48) & Two Weeks’ Worth of Stacking the Shelves (29)

Sunday weekly wrap up

  • I was supposed to go away with family last week — but, of course — I got the flu! In summer. Who catches a really bad flu in summer, anyway?!
  • So I took a break from blogging last week, and have only just recently gotten back into the groove of things.
  • I’m also very behind on replying to comments; hopefully I’ll catch up soon.
  • I borrowed . . . a lot of books. But I also feel the need to point out this is two weeks of book hauls!
  • New Stacking the Shelves!

This is the meme where you can highlight books you’ve bought/borrowed/gifted/received for review. You can read more on the meme and how to get involved here!

  • The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
  • After by Anna Todd
  • Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater
  • The Hobbit by J R. R. Tolkien (I’d like to read the book before I watch the movie. Er … movies.)
  • Exquisite Capture by Heather Demetrios
  • Waterfall by Lauren Kate
  • The Lost Sun by Tessa Gratton
  • Echoes of Us by Kat Zhang

  • Girl Online
  • Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch (Okay, so yes, I already own an ARC of this one … but it was such a beautiful hardcover I couldn’t resist borrowing it. I need to buy my own copy!)
  • The Astrologer’s Daughter by Rebecca Lim
  • Nona & Me by Claire Atkins
  • Impulse by Vanessa Garden
  • Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
  • Conjured by Sarah Beth Durst
  • The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey

  • Doctor Who: The Complete Eighth Season (YAAAAY.)
  • Camelot (I’ve been wanting to watch this one for awhile!)
  • Hansel & Gretel by Neil Gaiman & Lorenzo Mattotti (Read this as soon as I borrowed it; it was really enjoyable! I now need The Sleeper and the Spindle)

  • A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cue fangirling.)despicable me animated GIF

  1. Awesome haul Kara! A Court of Thorns and Roses looks amazing, I can’t wait to read it myself. Hope you have a lovely week :)

  2. Oh, so that’s where you were. Well, it’s good that you’re starting to feel better now. Snow Like Ashes and The Hobbit are both fabulous books, so I hope you enjoy them. Or are they rereads? So many bloggers are getting ACOTAR, and I’m excited to hear what everyone has to say about it.

  3. Love that pile of library books! You just made me laugh! I can totally just imagine you balancing all those books as you walk out, ignoring all those strange stares.
I’m so excited for A Court of Thorns and Roses as well!!!!!!!!
    SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

  4. Oh my gosh you’re reading After? That blew up on Wattpad – I want to see how the book version differs from the Wattpad fanfic version! Wow.

  5. ACOTAR! I was lucky enough to have snared a copy too, but I love that little trinket. Super cute. I got mine with the lush mask and my hear full of glitter for the next week :D

I can’t wait to see what you think of it, it’s supposed to be incredible!
Also, I spot Nona & Me there too. I just finished reading that one and it was so moving. Hit me right in the feels. Have a lovely week of reading Kara and I hope you’re feeling a lot better now. The flu really knocks you around doesn’t it <3

  6. YES YOU HAVE BEEN GONE AND I HAVE MISSED YOU. I kept thinking, “Omg, I haven’t read Kara’s blog lately” and I came and you weren’t. *cries a little* But these are also such fabulous looking reads. X) Your library is obviously the best. Mine has been promising me Snow Like Ashes for AGES. Although goodness knows why I want more books….my tbr is big enough. -_-
