Sunday Weekly Wrap Up (56) & Stacking the Shelves (37) Books, Easter, and Rain: Lots of It

Sunday weekly wrap up

  • Last week I complained that it didn’t really feel like autumn . . . but now, the temperatures have dropped, the rain has begun to fall, and it’s getting cold. Ish. The sort of weather where you think, Huh. I think I might need a jacket. It also BEGS for water-dripped pictures. Like this one: (And yes! There will be a Friday Photography this week featuring more pictures akin to this.)

  • It’s Easter! The Holiday of Chocolate and Hot-Cross Buns (if, like me, you’re not religious). Hope you all have a wonderful long-weekend or holiday! And, of course, eat lots of chocolate. That is an absolute must.
  • Books read this week: Captive by Aimee Carter; Pointe by Brandy Colbert; The Sleeper and the Spindle by Neil Gaiman (and illustrated by the massively talented Chris Riddell); The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin; Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne; Masquerade by Kylie Fornasier (reviewed on Monday!); Four: A Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth; All Fall Down by Ally Carter.

BooksReadThisWeek

  • Currently reading: A Want So Wicked by Suzanne Young.
  • So, obviously, as it’s the long-weekend and nothing is open, that meant I had to stock up on books.

  1. OOH. I SEE WHAT YOU DID WITH THE BLOG DESIGN. LOVING IT.
Your pictures look so big now – you can’t help but pay more attention to them. ^.^
    How was the Gaiman book?

      • So glad to hear that you loved the Gaiman book!
Man that sucks big time – one of the annoying things about widgets is how they don’t save! Gah. But hey…perhaps you can use the footer thing?

  2. I’m not religious either Kara, so it was chocolate and a nice roast lamb dinner for me. Hope you had a wonderful Easter too. The temperatures have dropped in Melbourne, but no rain sadly. I remember 10 or 15 years ago, we’d all be complaining about the rain, couldn’t do anything because it would bucket down. I think we’ve only had two or three days of rain so far this year, so no doubt I’ll be super envious of next weeks Friday Photography. Really looking forward to it <3
