Sunday Weekly Wrap Up (61) & Stacking the Shelves (41)

Sunday weekly wrap up

  • Books read this week: Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen | Apple & Rain by Sarah Crossan | Fairest by Marissa Meyer (recommended if you like a good villain story) | Hold Me Closer: The Tiny Cooper Story by David Levithan (like musicals/plays? You’ll like this one) | Sorceress by Claudia Gray |

  • Currently reading: Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire
  • Not an awful lot has happened this week, but, on the bright side, the weather is becoming clearer — but also cooler — and hopefully I’ll have a new lot of photography for you this coming week.
  • Shoutout to all the mothers out there today! You rock. Hope you get spoiled rotten. ^_^

On the Blog . . .

MONDAY I review Talon, and discussed some dragon-y goodness. I skipped this week’s Top Ten Tuesday — I don’t want to talk about the books I’d never read! That’s depressing! — and instead, on WEDNESDAY talked about critiquing others’ works and suggested some of my tips. (Any more to add?) And finally, on FRIDAY, I shared my delight on Fairest by Marissa Meyer. And how there should totally be more villain point of views out there.

Now it’s your turn: what wonderful books have you read this week? Any blogging highlights you’d like to share? And, of course, what lovely books have you gotten your greedy little hands on? Let me know!

  1. Oooh hope you enjoy all your awesome books Kara! I can’t remember the last time I went to the library, but it feels like I should really go and check out the collection. Would save myself a lot of money ha!

  2. DID YOU LIKE STOLEN SONGBIRD? (If you didn’t, we can’t be friends… Kidding!) It’s actually just starting to get rainy in our side of the world. xD Also, I hope you love The Heir! I still haven’t read The Elite… heh. And The Treatment! Please love it. xD

  3. What did you think of Stolen Songbird?! Considering it was one of my favorite 2014 reads, I have an intense need to make sure that everyone loved it as much as I did XD

  4. LOOK YOU HAVE ALICE AND THE FLY. AM I TO BLAME FOR THAT? I FEEL AWFULLY WONDERFUL RIGHT NOW. *ahem* Also. YAY for a bit of cooler weather! I mean, I don’t love winter, but it’s bugging me that where I am we’re having one day in the low 20s and the next at nearly 30. goshdarnit, NSW, make up your mind. -_-

  5. I recently got the Selection through netgalley, I hop to read it soon, so I can request the other books if I enjoy it. I love the covers for this series! Nice haul you got this week, I hope you’l enjoy them all and have a great week!

  6. So many awesome books – I find any good books at my library as well, not many people go there, it’s small but it has the latest books. I found the books 5 to 1, The Orphan Queen, An Ember in The Ashes the day it actually released. Happy reading :)
